Lunch Money in Nick Jr. Magazine

November 26, 2005

Lunch Money was thrilled to get this nice review in the October 2005 issue of Nick Jr. Family Magazine: "Lunch Money artfully treads the line between alt-kids and just plain alternative - with lots of parents on the fan wagon as well. Kids go for the lyrics about things like roller coasters and tricycles, but singer Molly Ledford could make just about anything sound good." They rated it 5 points out of 5 - thanks, Nick Jr!

Lunch Money's song "Caboose" was the 13th most played song of the week ending in April 22 on XMKids (part of XM Satellite Radio). Wow! That's exciting. Lunch Money Gets Kids Dancing

October 26, 2004

Lunch Money performed at the St. Andrews Branch Library this past Saturday. Noticing a boy rolling on the floor a bit during the first song, Molly welcomed the audience to dance if they felt like it. Moments later the band was marveling at its spunkiest audience ever. One boy even left his tricycle to join the pint-sized pit. Items found on the carpet after the show: a Bandaid, a Cheerio, a small box of Q-tips, a rock.

Balloons are for the last song...not the second-to-last song. So much to learn!

Lunch Money Supports Trike

May 11, 2004

Here in Columbia there is a guy named Rob McAdams who built himself a large tricycle to suit his rather tall frame and rode it around town to remind people not to lose touch with the sense of wonder they knew as a child.
Lunch Money wrote a song in support of tricycles, and you can click on "Listen to Songs" to hear it.
You can read more about Rob and his tricycle at www.supporttrike.com

Lunch Money Gives Peas a Chance

March 15, 2004

Lunch Money played a show at the Sandhills Branch of the Richland County Public Library. They sang about cabooses and miniature things and roller coasters and animals and chocolate, among other things.

For the big finale, they unveiled their new version of the Beatles classic "Give Peace a Chance." Everybody's talkin' bout potatoes, tomatoes. French fries and ketchup are a way to get your veggies, but all we are saying is give peas a chance. It all ended with green balloons being batted around the room and possible daydreams of a healthy dinner.
