Friends

Here are some of the great people we've discovered along the way...check out what they do!

Brandon Reese created all of the artwork for our new album Dizzy. Check out his site. His work is friendly and witty and just a tad warped (in a good way).

The children's music scene! Some of us have young kids, and we look for the best in music that thinks and rocks and resonates with their current human condition (does anyone else remember being perplexed by John Cougar's "Hurts So Good" as a child?).

The following are some of our favorites (in no particular order). We also made you a mixtape of their songs to show you how we feel (follow the link to iTunes to check it out).

Frances England
Poetic and idyllic - at the heart of it, they are all love songs to her family.
Billy Kelly
There's something kind of David Byrne/David Bowie meets The Far Side about this Pennsylvanian President of the Happy Club. And we're digging it!
Recess Monkey
The attitude of this Seattle band reminds me of Tom Hanks back when he was known for movies like Splash and Big - mixed with some New Wave. Are you intrigued yet?
Secret Agent 23 Skidoo
Hip-hop poetry and inspiration for all ages out of Asheville, NC. Go get happy and funky!
Ginger Hendrix
You'll wish she could be your wacky neighbor.
Justin Roberts
Infectious pop songs with amazing production - his writing is for the kids, but his live show makes you feel like a teenager again.
Scribblemonster
Sometimes growling out monster odes to chocolate milk, sometimes penning tender songs about board games.
Dan Zanes and Friends
The house-partying musicologist with the rad grey hair and enviable blazer collection.
Kimya Dawson
If you loved the Juno soundtrack, check out her children's record Alphabutt.
Mr. Richard
He's the cool uncle - always right on the level with kids and quick with the banter.
The Quiet Two

This record is so smart and fun and recommended for moms whose favorite Monkee was Davy Jones.
Randy Kaplan
He's at his best when spinning song stories about the vermin in his apartment. Great with show tunes too!
Elizabeth Mitchell
Dreamy Smithsonian recording artist you might also know from her indie band Ida.
The Jellydots
These guys rock out and some of them may not even know they are in a children's band.
They Might Be Giants
At their shows, they blend their adult and children's music...and you'd never know it!
The Jimmies
Hands down, these guys have the best music videos.
The Candy Band
Who can make "Skip to My Lou" sound like a battle cry? The Candy Band can...
